Poblenou The pick
Poblenou won because it is the only one still becoming something. Gràcia already finished its transformation. El Raval is fighting over its future in the streets. Poble Sec is essentially one great block. Poblenou has an entire grid of former factories filling in with things worth crossing town for: Garage Beer Co brewing in an industrial shell, Ultra Local Records selling vinyl, Re-Read moving secondhand books, Otsu and Can Dende feeding the people doing the work. Then you keep walking and hit the Mediterranean. No other contender offers that combination of momentum, space, and salt water. The others are neighborhoods with a past. Poblenou is a neighborhood with a trajectory.
