Äußere Neustadt is where Dresden gets weird. Graffiti-covered courtyards open into serious restaurants. Louisenstraße and Alaunstraße are the main arteries, lined with bars that don't close until the last person leaves. Sunday mornings belong to the hungover crowd shuffling toward coffee on Böhmische Straße.
Around 130 bars, pubs, and restaurants are packed into the few walkable blocks between Alaunstraße and Louisenstraße, making Äußere Neustadt one of the densest bar scenes in Germany.

Südvorstadt
Südvorstadt anchors the university crowd south of the Hauptbahnhof. Cheaper eats, bookshops, late-night döner along Zellescher Weg. Student energy without student chaos.
