Savamala is where Belgrade's creative energy landed after the warehouses emptied out. Old riverside buildings on Karađorđeva became bars, galleries, and restaurants that don't open until the rest of the city is asleep. The Sava River runs alongside it all. Things get loud on weekends, and nobody apologizes for it.

Valaoritou was a garment district until the bars moved into the warehouses. Now it's where Thessaloniki stays up latest. Cocktails in former textile shops, DJs spilling sound onto cracked sidewalks, and nobody showing up before midnight. By day it's almost eerily quiet. That's the whole point.

The Malakopi Arcade went up in 1906 for the Allatini family's bank, survived the Great Fire of 1917, and its pediment clock has read 11:05 since the 1978 earthquake.
