El Realejo The pick
El Realejo won on range. Sacromonte does one thing. Albaicín is losing its residents to tourist beds. La Chana has the tapas but no scene. Realejo has all of it running at once: two independent bookshops within a few blocks (Librería Inusual, Librería Bakakai), craft beer at Capitán Amargo, cocktails at La Guaracha, vegan cooking at Hicuri that actual carnivores queue for. It works at 9am with a flat white from Dulcimena and it works at 1am. Crucially, people still live there. No fame burden, no moratorium fights, no ticket booth. The others are places you visit. Realejo is a place that functions.
