Barranco The pick
Barranco won the way neighborhoods used to. Miraflores was engineered for visitors. Callao Monumental was engineered by an investor. Barranco just accumulated: painters moved into cheap casonas, bars followed, then coffee people like Neira Café Lab and Ciclos, then Kjolle at the top of the food chain, then design shops like Dédalo and One the store filling the old mansions. You can start with a flat white, end at Garrison Bar past midnight, and never repeat a block. The market agrees. Barranco now trades above Miraflores per square meter, which tells you where Lima thinks its own center of gravity moved. The others each do one thing well. Barranco does all of it, in walking distance, without asking.
