Late October through November is the sweet spot: clear skies, 15-22°C, and low humidity for long days on foot. The cherry blossoms peak in the first week of April but pull heavy crowds. Avoid the rainy stretch from late June to mid-July and August's 35°C humidity. February is cold but dry, fine for walking if you layer up.
